The time has come to share in joy and cheer, Our annual parish picnic is drawing near! Mark your calendars, don’t delay, August 25th is the special day.
After our 10 AM bilingual Mass, there’s fun to be had, With games and laughter, you won’t be sad. One Mass is all we need that day, To make room for all the joy and play.
Come one, come all, and bring the whole family, Meet our new pastor, Father John, so friendly! He’s eager to greet each and every one, And share in the day filled with sun.
A-L, it’s desserts we ask you to bring, Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and such sweet things. Handheld and tasty, they’ll surely delight, And make our picnic a wonderful sight.
M-Z, side dishes are your call, Potato salad, fruit salad, bring them all! Macaroni, cucumber, and Caprese too, We can’t wait to taste what’s made by you.
Before the Mass, drop your dish off, In disposable containers, we kindly scoff, Label them for allergies, gluten-free needs, So everyone can enjoy with ease.
Drop off your dish at the Parish Center Kitchen, behind the Rectory, Before Mass, that’s where your delicious contributions should be. We’ll gather them up, and share in the feast,
Calling our youth, we need volunteers, oh yes, indeed, For popcorn and snow cones, to fill the need. If you can help, please lend a hand, To make this picnic extra grand.
Kids, don’t forget your swimsuits and towels, A water slide awaits, with joyful howls! Bring a change of clothes, to dry off after, And join in the fun, and all the laughter.
So, let’s gather ‘round, and have some fun, Under the summer sky, or shade from the sun. The St. John Vianney picnic is where we’ll be, Creating memories, and sharing glee!
