Raymond Arthur Trigger, of Dothan AL, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was 80.
Florence Dean Trigger, of Dothan, AL died Monday, November 5, 2018. She was 85.
Mr. Trigger was born November 13, 1938 in Bethesda, Maryland to James and Cecelia Trigger and a graduate of St. Mary’s of the Mill High School in Laurel, MD. He was an elevator man who designed, built and maintained elevators and escalators. He also assisted OSHA in establishing safety guidelines for the elevator industry. He was a member of IBEW Union # 10. Mr. Trigger enjoyed fishing, people and nature. His children are still inspired by his nonjudgmental and positive ways. Mr. Trigger was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks.
In 1976, he met the love of his life, Florence Dean Trigger. They married in 1981 and remained very happily married until the day she died.
Mr. Trigger is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Florence Dean Trigger and a brother, James Trigger.
Survivors include three children, Jane Trigger Thompson (Dennis) of St. Petersburg, FL, Kelli Briggs (Anthony) of Lexington, KY, Katreena Takach (Michael) of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren, Taylor Thompson, Joseph Arthur Phillips, Sean Nelson Phillips, Sarah Nicole Dunn-Phillips, Donald Raymond Trigger and Harry Allen Trigger; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Trigger of Gainesville, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Trigger was born December 6, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to Alf Leon Larson and Florence Larson Mitchell. She later moved to Maryland where she married, had five children, and became a widow. In 1969, she completed her GED and attended college and in 1971 she established D & E Stenographic Services which she operated for 26 years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Trigger loved her children, reading, animals and enjoyed ceramics. She was actively involved in the Catholic Church her entire life.
In 1976, she met the love of her life, Raymond A. Trigger. They married in 1981 and remained very happily married until the day she died.
Mrs. Trigger is predeceased by her parents, her sister, Doris Larson, two daughters, Daryl Lynn Lilly and Robin Brown.
Survivors include three children, Robert “Bob” Lilly, Albert Lilly, and Coleen Lilly; four grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Lilly, Joshua Howell, Kathryn Brown and Ryan Brown and one great-grandchild, Cole Patrick Howell, all of Maryland; a cousin, Glendean Shugga of Ohio.
