The St. John Vianney Food Pantry is seeking non-perishable food donations (canned goods, boxed food, etc.). Food donations may be left in the food collection box (located in the church foyer) prior to any scheduled Mass.

In lieu of shopping for groceries to donate, please consider a monetary donation to the food pantry (check or cash). The St. John Vianney “poor box” collections received during the first Sunday Mass each month will be used to help support the food pantry. Please be sure to write “FOOD PANTRY” in the memo portion of your check. By using this method, you will enable the food pantry to purchase needed food through the Maryland Food Bank and other organizations, thereby stretching your monetary contribution. Most of our discounted purchases yield two times as much food as you would receive when paying retail. Your financial donations allow us to do the shopping for you, for items that we currently need, at a substantial discount.

In addition, you can donate online using Faith Direct. To donate using Faith Direct, just click on the Donate Online Here under the Links section on this page and make your donation (you don’t need to have a Faith Direct account to make a donation). Faith Direct takes most credit cards and you will receive an e-mail receipt for your records.

We are actively seeking partners from businesses and service organizations in our community who may be able to provide monetary assistance, promote fundraising or food drives, or may be able to provide goods and/or services.

You can donate your time. We need volunteers to assist us with packing food, distributing food, picking up food, distributing flyers, office work, and other activities. Please refer to “How to Volunteer,” on the St. John Vianney Inter-Faith Food Pantry Web Page.
