Position Description: Building Manager
Position: oversee all operations and staff of the FLC
Duties:
Schedule and coordinate all uses of the building, including parish, and rental activities. Work with Youth Minister to coordinate youth activity dates. Schedule and coordinate all uses of the Soccer Fields and pavilion. Maintain a master calendar of building/fields/pavilion events. Resolve all scheduling conflicts. Provide schedule information and updates to Parish Administrator for inclusion into master parish calendar.
Maintain building and personnel security by implementing procedures for controlling building access and appropriately recording entry and exit of personnel. Maintains inventory of building keys and a record of who has been issued keys.
Report all maintenance needs to the maintenance crew.
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support FLC operations. Ensure all volunteers have registration and training as per Archdiocese of Washington Child Protection Plan.
Develop and submit yearly business plan and budget for review and approval by the pastor. Manage center in accordance with approved plan and budget. Maintain balance between revenue producing rentals and availability of building for parish use, which may not produce revenue. Has authority to set and negotiate rental fees as per business plan.
For parish and FLC run programs, maintains a record of participants for contact information, emergency medical information, parental consent, and liability release. Maintains and uses all information in accordance with center's privacy policy.
Maintain record of all programs, rentals, food service, and vending fees collected. Forward all money to Parish Office for deposit into parish's bank account.
Has authority to negotiate and sign contracts for use of the building. Ensures clients function within approved Catholic Church standards and teachings.
Plan and manage summer day camp programs for youth, others include: Craft Show, CYBL, First Sunday Breakfast, adult sports, etc.
Recruit, hire, and train paid staff in accordance with business plan and budget. Has hiring authority with Pastor approval and is directly responsible for personnel performance.
Turn in hours for FLC employees to bookkeeper.
Physically able to lift 50 pounds, sweep, mop, and do general cleaning of building when needed.
