Volunteers have:
• become certified to do CPR
• trained to lead a Diabetis Prevention Program
• trained to take Blood Pressures
• trained to administer Narcan
• become advocates for prevention of partner abuse
• learned to recognise Mental Health disorders and advocate for their treatment
Volunteers have the opportunity to do:
• Diabetes Management
• BP Screenings
Volunteers promote Community Health and Hospice Programs including:
• Programs for diabetes prevention & management
• Vaccine clinics
• Tobacco cessation programs
• Cancer screenings
• Parkinsons management program
• Heath insurance sign up
• Primary and Preventive Health Care
Volunteers are responsible for:
• SJV Campus AED & First Aid Kit upkeep
• H & W monthly meeting attendance
• Health information distribution on SJV website, bulletin inserts and handouts
• Assisting parish members to sign up for community health programs
Volunteers will be assisting with Calvert Hospital Mobile Health Unit at SJV Food Pantry
